Locations: Byron Bay Beaches!

Choosing a location for your family shoot can be challenging here in the Northern Rivers, as there are soooooo many epic spots to choose from! Here are a few of my favorites to mull over when trying to decide on the location for your family shoot!

Wategos is stunning. You will see mountainous backdrops both near and far which are great for framing. You also are able to see the famous Jullians Rock when shooting out to sea. There are absolutely epic rock pools, depending on the tide, which are great to let the children play and capture more natural shots. And there are large rocks for climbing and perfect for posing a family!

Broken Head Beach is east facing and the sunsets on the red rocks and green bush mountains are breathtaking. The rock outcroppings off shore are amazing backdrops not to mention the amazing tide pools which offer stunning reflections and endless fun!

Broken Head, being in a National Park, also offers amazing spots for bush backgrounds and climbing trees. I love being able to offer my clients diversity in landscapes and backdrops for more lasting memories.

Belongil Beach has more of an open sea feeling with a long stretch of straight beach and the curve of the bay towards Lennox Head. Sunrises here, especially in the autumn and winter months, are some of the best I've ever seen! The wash up on the beach lends itself for great reflections and clean unspoiled sand. The landscape, compared to Wategos and Broken Head is not as diverse but the position of the beach offers amazing sunsets and sunrises.
